Rust Polka Dot Dress

Good morning!

Fall finally feels like it’s in full swing after we got our first cold front in Austin this week! I’m pulling out all my favorite sweaters, booties and fall recipes for the season. I shot this dress a few weeks ago when we were still having 80-90 degree weather but it is still one of my absolute favorite new fall dresses! I love it paired with white slip ons but also think a really great white or brown bootie and jean jacket would be cute. The best part about this dress is it’s under $100 and SO comfortable. I also love the slits up the leg that give it a little more interest and shape.

I’ve been teased a time or two that I can dress like a “UT” mom because I love wearing burnt orange and rust colors. I’m a firm believer in finding what colors on the color wheel look best on you and sticking to those! For me, brown oranges look really good with my coloring. You won’t find any purple or yellow in my closet… Let me be honest, you won’t find any other color except peach and rust/burnt orange in my closet outside all the white, black, tan and denim…And I’m totally ok with that! Stay tuned for lots more pops of color in the burnt orange/rust family.

Also can I just say, who doesn’t love polka dots?! They just make you happy!

By now you should know I’m obsessed with calf hair bags. I think I have 3-4 calf hair and springbok purses. They go with almost everything and make an otherwise boring look a little more interesting and cute!

Am I the only one who sticks to colors in their wardrobe that are in their color wheel?!
